Career Services
The Heinz School Career Services Office will work with you to explore your goals, identify internship and employment opportunities, and provide you with the skills needed in your career search. The office provides individual counseling that is tailored to the needs of each student. Workshops, panel discussions, networking events and individual counseling will help you strengthen your job search skills and provide exposure to potential employers.
A large number of directories, online databases and newsletters are available through Career Services to assist you in researching and securing a position or an internship.
MAM graduates are sought by many organizations in arts, entertainment, public, private and education sectors.
Job Search Assistance Fund
The Job Search Assistance Fund provides limited financial reimbursement to second-year graduating MAM students who are interviewing with public sector or non-profit organizations. The Heinz School will provide each Master's student graduating in December 2004, May 2005 or August 2005 with up to $300 in assistance for reasonable costs of travel associated with job interviews with public sector or non-profit organizations. In addition, the fund will also pay for travel and lodging for conferences associated with public sector or non-profit issues. The fund is available for graduating students between September 2004 and August 2005.
Networking Events
Each year, the Heinz School hosts networking events in Pittsburgh, Washington DC and New York City for students, employers, internship hosts and alumni. These are tremendous opportunities for you to begin establishing critical professional contacts.
